8th Grade Six Flags Great America Trip

Greetings,

We are excited to share details regarding our upcoming 8th-grade trip to Six Flags Great America on May 20, 2026. Please review the following information carefully to ensure your student is prepared.

Registration & Ticket Information

Tickets must be purchased through the D300 Webstore. Please note that once the webstore closes, late purchases cannot be accommodated.

  • Store Opens: March 23, 2026
  • Store Closes: Pending (Date to be announced)
  • Ticket Price: $66.56
  • Season Pass Holders: Must bring and show their season pass the day of the trip
    • Ticket is non refundable

Departure & Transportation

Students are required to take District 300 transportation to and from the park; no exceptions will be made. All school and district bus safety rules apply.

  • Arrival: Students must arrive at school on time.
  • Departure: Buses depart WCS promptly at 9:15 AM.
  • Process: Staff will take attendance and guide students to their assigned buses and chaperones.

Return & Pickup

  • Estimated Return: Between 6:45 PM and 7:00 PM at WCS.
  • Pickup Location: Door 5 (Sports Entrance parking area).
  • Note: We appreciate your patience as we safely dismiss 350 students from the buses!

Behavior & Eligibility Expectations

To participate in this fun event, students must remain in good standing. Participation is contingent upon meeting the following criteria:

  • No more than (1) Out-of-School Suspension.
  • No more than (1) In-School Intervention.
  • Fewer than (3) Admin-assigned detentions.
  • Full compliance with D300 behavior policies while at the park.

Students Not Attending

Students who do not attend the trip will follow a normal school schedule at WCS. They will be placed in classrooms by team and provided time to complete missing assignments or schoolwork.
