E-Bikes and Motorized Devices

Greetings WCS Families,

It has been wonderful to have your students back in the building. As our students become more familiar with their new routines, we expect to see continued improvements with bus times and other arrival and dismissal logistics.

Just a quick update to share with families - the City of Algonquin recently passed an ordinance regarding motorized devices. E-bikes, motorized scooters, and other motorized devices are not permitted on sidewalks, in parks, or on village-owned property. If your student uses one of these devices to travel to school, please remind them that they may not ride it on school grounds, as this creates an unsafe situation for pedestrians.
