Elementary School Halloween Important Information

Costume Guidelines: 


Masks are prohibited.
Weapons of any kinds (including swords, sticks, knives, guns, ammunition, etc) are NOT to be brought to
school or located on the costume (eg. painted, stitched in, sprayed on, photoshopped on or “Cricutted on”
etc}.
Fake “Blood” on costumes and/or on any part of the body is not permitted.
Costumes that are excessively violent or scary are NOT permitted.
Blow up costumes are NOT permitted.
Morph suits are NOT permitted.
Full face makeup is NOT permitted.
Costumes must NOT contain/promote the use of illegal substances or activities, be derogatory or
disrespectful in any manner, or depict violence.
Abbreviated words on costumes are not permitted.
All costume preparation should be done at home. Bringing makeup and/or hair dye to school is prohibited.
Students or parents/guardians who have questions about the acceptability of their costume should check
with the administration or classroom teacher prior to wearing the costume to school.
Students wearing inappropriate costumes will call home to have a change of clothes brought to them at
school.
One final reminder, WCS is a preschool - 8th grade building (preschoolers attend every day). Following the
above guidelines, ensures all of our students feel safe at school while celebrating this fun day!
Party Information:
Class parties will be held during the school day, beginning at 1:00pm.
Parents will enter at 12:45.
Please remember any food brought into the school, must be store bought. We are unable to accept any
treats that are not store bought.
Parade Spectator Information:
Classes will begin exiting from door 1. Students will travel the designated parade route around the building
towards the Kiss and Go parking lot, past door 12 and through the blacktop, entering through door 11.
After the parade concludes, students will return to respective classrooms for student class parties.
Please ensure that all spectators remain in the designated area in the grass by the sidewalks; this will help
our students and staff to remain safe.
o Note - the parade will be cancelled if we experience inclement weather. An RCS will be sent to
parents/guardians notifying parents/guardians of cancellations.
