WCS Back to School Information and Supply Drop Off

Greetings Families,

As many of you know, Westfield Community School has undergone several major renovations this summer. Some of the exciting updates include:

Completion of the Media Center furniture project

New carpet in the Media Center and music rooms
New lighting in both the elementary and middle school gyms

New tile throughout all hallways

Replacement tile in the staff lounge, nurse’s office, and workrooms

New stair treads in multiple locations

New entry way flooring
A new sign/marquee at the front of the school

A new storage shed for PE and Athletics

The building looks beautiful! Thanks to the hard work of the construction teams, District 300 buildings and grounds team and the WCS Custodial Staff!

One remaining project, the replacement of stair treads in a few locations, will be completed shortly after students return. We are currently experiencing a manufacturing delay, but please know this will not impact the start of school. All stairways have been inspected and are safe for student and staff use.

This week, students are welcome to participate in Supply Drop-Off. Please see the attached document for more information.
