WCS MS Families

Greetings WCS MS Families,

I am excited to invite you to our Middle School Open House at Westfield on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM. An optional informational parent meeting will be held at 5:30 PM (see details in the attached document). The attachment also includes everything you’ll need to know to ensure a smooth and successful evening. Please note: Exploratory classes will meet in the PDC.

I also want to take a moment to review the D300 Dress Code Policy. As outlined in the D300 Parent–Student Handbook, middle school students may not wear the following:

Tube tops

Shirts and/or pants that are excessively revealing (e.g., chest area, areas below the waistline)

Hats or other head coverings (unless for medical or religious reasons)

Pajamas (pajama pants permitted only for school events and must follow all other guidelines)

Clothing with violent language or images

Images or language depicting drugs, alcohol, or illegal activities

Clothing containing hate speech, profanity, or pornography

Images or language that create a hostile or intimidating environment toward any protected class or marginalized group

Accessories considered dangerous or that could be used as a weapon

Any item that obscures the face or ears (except for religious observances)

If a student is not in compliance with the dress code, they will be asked to either:

Change into their PE uniform

Call a parent/guardian to bring a change of clothes

As noted in the dress code police, student's midriff should be covered. To prevent any disruption to your student’s learning, I am asking for your support in helping ensure that your student’s attire aligns with the D300 dress code. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Kind regards,

Jenn Breeze
